The building

Built to hold grain. Rebuilt for people.

For sixty years this building held seed for half the farms in Sedgwick County. The floors were built for forty tons a bay, which is why your neighbor's piano isn't going anywhere and neither is the sound of it. We kept the brick, the beams and two of the freight doors, then added elevators, wide hallways and big walk-in showers.

This is independent living, not a care home. You hold the lease, you hang the art, you come and go. What you get from us is a building that works: a front desk that knows your name, a rooftop that catches the sunset over Delano, and a calendar of things worth leaving the apartment for.

Residents, unfiltered

I sold a four-bedroom in Andover and moved into 840 square feet with a twelve-foot window. Best trade I ever made.

My mother wanted a city apartment, not a retirement home. This is a city apartment where somebody notices if she doesn't come down for coffee.
Priya S.Daughter of a resident
I walk to the river every morning, the farmers market on Saturday and a ball game when the team is in town. My car battery died from neglect.
Ruth A.Resident since 2018
The woodshop sold me. Then the supper club. Then the guy across the hall who builds banjos.
