Good to know

Questions, answered

What kind of home is The Grayson House?

Texas licenses homes like ours as assisted living facilities. We help with daily living, like bathing, dressing, meals and medications, with staff awake around the clock. We are not a nursing home and do not provide round-the-clock skilled nursing.

Is a three-story house safe?

Yes. There is an elevator to every floor, sprinklers and alarms throughout, and four suites on the main floor for residents who prefer not to use the elevator.

How do families pay?

Most residents pay privately or with long-term care insurance. Veterans and surviving spouses may qualify for VA Aid and Attendance. Some Texans qualify for help through Medicaid waiver programs. Ask Ana and she will walk you through what may apply.

Can residents keep their own doctors?

Yes. We drive residents to their own doctors and share notes. A visiting physician also sees residents here monthly.

What happens if care needs grow?

Many residents stay with us through the end of life with hospice visiting. If someone needs more care than we can safely give, Naomi helps the family plan the next step.
