Good to know

What families ask

What is adult day health?

A licensed daytime program with nursing, therapy, meals and activities for adults who live at home but shouldn't be alone all day. Members go home every evening.

Who is a good fit?

Adults living with dementia, recovering from a stroke or surgery, managing diabetes, heart failure or COPD, or isolated on the farm. Our nurse visits your home before the first day.

How do families pay?

Privately by the day, or through VA benefits, long-term care insurance and Texas Medicaid programs for those who qualify. Medicare generally does not cover adult day. Our social worker helps you check.

How far out will the van go?

Anywhere in Erath County, ranch roads included. Ask us about Hico, Dublin and Lingleville pickups.

Why do you open so early?

Because a lot of our families milk, feed or work early shifts. The first van leaves at 6:45.

Can Dad do therapy at the center?

Yes, with a doctor's order. Our therapists work four mornings a week and coordinate with his physician.

What about members with dementia?

They spend part of the day in small groups with staff trained in dementia care, and join everyone for meals and music.

Do you have staff who speak Spanish?

Yes. Our founder, social worker, cook and several aides are bilingual.

How many days does Mom have to come?

At least two a week, so she gets to know her table. Most families choose three to five.

Can members use the shop tools?

Yes, at a supervised bench with hand tools and a few small power tools, one member at a time.

What happens in an emergency?

Our nurses respond right away. We call 911 first if needed, then you.

Can Mom get a shower at the center?

Yes, in our shower suite with a trained aide.

What about bad weather?

We follow the Stephenville schools and call every family by 6 a.m. if we close.

Can we drop in without an appointment?

Yes. Walk in any time we're open.

Can we try it first?

Yes. The first day is free, lunch and the van included.

Coffee's on at six-forty-five.

Come see the place, or bring your dad for a free day with lunch and the van. Call, text or book online.
