What eighteen days of rehab actually look like, from the ambulance bay to the front porch.
Our story

You arrive from the hospital in the afternoon. Your nurse checks you in, reviews every medication and gets you settled. Before supper, a therapist stops by to see how you move.
Your case manager, therapists and nurse meet. You get a written plan: what you'll work on, what has to be true before you go home, and a target date.
Therapy five or six days a week. Parallel bars, then the walker, then the stairs. It's hard, and some days you won't want to. We'll come get you anyway.
Cooking in the practice apartment, climbing into the truck-cab trainer, walking the gravel course. A therapist visits your house and moves the rugs.
Your family comes in and practices with you: transfers, exercises, medications. The equipment you need is ordered and delivered.
