Straight answers
How long is a typical rehab stay?
Most patients go home in two to three weeks. Your discharge targets and date are set on day two.
Does Medicare pay for rehab?
Medicare Part A can cover skilled rehab after a qualifying inpatient hospital stay of at least three days: the first 20 days in full, then a daily coinsurance through day 100 while you still need skilled care.
What about Medicare Advantage?
We work with most plans and handle prior approval with the hospital.
What are the weekly numbers?
Standard tests of walking speed and distance, sit-to-stand and balance. They show you, your family and your doctors exactly how recovery is going.
Who sees the weekly report?
You, and anyone you choose: family near or far, and your doctors.
Which campus should I choose?
The one closest to your family. All three offer the same therapy and testing; the stroke unit is in Sapulpa.
Is therapy really seven days a week?
Therapy is available every day. How often you have it depends on your plan of care.
Is every suite private?
Yes, at all three campuses, with private baths.
Do you take SoonerCare?
SoonerCare, Oklahoma's Medicaid program, can cover long-term skilled nursing for those who qualify.
Do you work with tribal health programs?
Yes. Our patient liaison coordinates with tribal health programs for eligible patients.
Can I go home on oxygen, or come off it?
Our respiratory therapists work on weaning when your doctor agrees, and arrange home oxygen when you still need it.
Do you handle IV antibiotics?
Yes, plus IV fluids and PICC care.
What should I bring?
Exercise clothes, supportive shoes with backs, glasses, hearing aids and your medication list.
Can family visit?
Any time. Families are invited to therapy and to the weekly numbers review.
What if I can't go home safely?
We'll talk early about home health, assisted living or long-term care on our skilled nursing halls.
Will someone call after I go home?
Yes, at 48 hours and again at 30 days.
Can I continue therapy as an outpatient?
Yes, at any campus, usually under Medicare Part B.
Do you have a chaplain?
Yes, at all three campuses.
Do you offer interpreters?
Yes, free of charge.
