Good to know

Questions, answered

Is this independent living or assisted living?

Mostly independent living. If you need help with daily activities later, our licensed staff can add assisted living services in your own apartment, and you pay only for the services you use.

Is there an entrance fee?

No. We are a rental community with one monthly fee and a one-time community fee at move-in. Every charge is in writing before you sign.

Does Medicare cover living here?

No. Medicare doesn't pay rent or meals in senior living. It can cover doctor-ordered home health or therapy visits that take place in your apartment. Long-term care insurance and VA Aid and Attendance may help with care services; our business office can walk you through it.

Can I bring my boat?

Yes, if a slip is open. Twenty covered slips are reserved for residents and there's often a short waiting list. Kayaks and paddleboats are free to borrow.

Do I need to be able to swim to ride the pontoon?

No. Life jackets are required and provided, the captain is licensed, and there's a ramp from the dock so walkers and wheelchairs can board.

Can I keep my car?

Of course. Covered parking is included. Many residents still ride the bus to Rogers and Bentonville because someone else handles the traffic.

Are pets allowed?

Yes. Dogs and cats are welcome with a pet deposit. The trail loop has waste stations and a water bowl at every bench.

Can family stay overnight?

Yes. Two furnished guest suites near the Boathouse can be booked by the night.

How do I get on the waiting list?

A refundable deposit holds your place for the floor plan you want. Lake cottages and corner apartments move slowest; studios and one-bedrooms often open within a few months.

The coffee's on at the boathouse.
