Our story

Jonah Whitaker's mother lived alone four hours north. Every other weekend he drove up, fixed something and drove back worried. At work in Bentonville, half his colleagues were making the same drive.

He found eleven acres beside a spur of the Razorback Greenway in Pinnacle Hills and a group of local investors who had made the same drives.

Shiloh Creek opened with sixty-eight apartments, an art studio no one thought anyone would use and a soccer field that was supposed to be a lawn. Both were full by summer.

Residents raised the money themselves with a pottery sale at the farmers market. Bev Harlan came out of retirement to teach.

Most residents have family within twenty minutes. Saturdays still start with pancakes, and Jonah's mother lives on the second floor.
