Care planAssisted living & memory care · Broken Arrow, Owasso & Bixby
Three assisted living homes around Tulsa, each built around a garden, each with a small memory care neighborhood, and all run by the same family since 2004.
A note from Marisol
When my parents opened the first Bellwether in Broken Arrow, my mother planted the roses before the drywall was finished. She said people would come for the care but stay for the place, and that the place should smell like something growing. Twenty-two years later, each of our three homes is built around a courtyard garden, and every resident who wants a bed of their own gets one.
Inside the garden walls is everything else: caregivers awake all night, a nurse who knows each medication by heart, a dining room with linen napkins, and in each home a small memory care neighborhood called The Arbor, for residents who need a gentler, more watchful day.

What sets us apart

At the hour you prefer, by caregivers who knock, wait and ask.
Care plan
Twelve to sixteen suites around a walled courtyard, so residents can walk outside freely and safely.
Memory care rate
Linen napkins, real china and two choices at every meal, cooked in each home's own kitchen.
Included
We believe a good day can still be ordinary: coffee on the porch, a bloom worth noticing, someone who knows how you like your tea. We build our care around that.

Rooms & suites
Every apartment has a private bath with a walk-in shower, emergency call, and a window toward the garden or the trees. Bring the furniture you love.

One bright room with a kitchenette and a window over the courtyard beds.

A separate bedroom and a sitting room big enough for your favorite chair and a tea table.

A glassed-in porch facing the garden, for morning coffee and afternoon naps.

For couples, or for a bedroom and a sewing room, a study or a guest room for visiting family.

A private suite in The Arbor, with a memory box by the door and a window onto the secured courtyard.

Furnished down to the quilt, for stays of a week or more.
Sample family reviews
Mama gardened her whole life. The first morning, Celeste handed her a trowel and a flat of petunias. She cried, and then she got to work.
Dad is in The Arbor now. Kwame sings Hank Williams with him every afternoon. On his worst days, that still works.
We toured six places. Bellwether was the only one where the residents were outside.
Priya gave us every fee on one sheet of paper before we sat down. In three years there has not been a single surprise.
Afternoon tea is my favorite hour of the day. I've made more friends at that table than I did in thirty years of church potlucks.
When my husband moved to memory care, they found me an apartment right down the hall. I can have breakfast with him every morning.
Joan called me at seven in the morning to say Mom seemed off. By noon the doctor had found a urinary infection. That call saved us a hospital stay.
The food is honestly better than mine. Don't tell my mother I said that, although she already knows.
Emmanuel helped us get Dad's VA Aid and Attendance approved. It took four months and he never let it drop.
I came for two weeks of respite after my hip. Six months later I'm still here, and my tomatoes are the best on the patio.
When Mom died, the staff lined the hallway as she left. Pastor Grant sat with us for an hour. I will never forget their kindness.
