Our team

Executive Director
Annaliese grew up in Stonewall picking peaches for her uncle and came home after twenty years in hospitality in Dallas. She has run the Terrace since 2014 and still knows every resident's dog by name.

Executive Chef
Mateo cooked in San Antonio hotel kitchens before he came to the Hill Country for the produce. His Friday smoked brisket has a waiting list and his peach cobbler has a fan club.

Wellness Nurse
Dana spent eighteen years as a hospital nurse in Kerrville. Here she runs the weekday wellness clinic, teaches the balance class and helps residents keep track of their own health.

Lifestyle Director
Renée plans the calendar, books the wineries for Thursday social and drives the van on day trips when she can talk her way into it.

Move-in Coordinator
Kendra has helped more than three hundred families move to the Terrace. She is good with tape measures, movers and difficult conversations about the china cabinet.

Concierge and Transportation
Luis keeps the front desk running and the van on time. If you need a ride to a doctor in Kerrville or a reservation on Main Street, he is the man to ask.

Facilities Director
Walt is a fourth-generation Fredericksburg builder. He takes care of a hundred and eighteen homes and twenty-two acres, and he answers his phone on Saturdays.

Fitness and Aquatics Coordinator
Brooke is a certified exercise instructor who teaches water aerobics, strength and balance. She believes the best workout is the one you will actually come back for.
Sample family reviews
We came for a weekend of wine tasting in 2017 and drove past the sign on the way out of town. Two years later we live here, and our kids visit more than they ever did in Houston.
Mom was alone in a four-bedroom house in Midland. Now she has a porch, a book club and a running feud with the man next door over whose roses are better.
The Thursday wine social is the reason I came out of my apartment that first month. By the second month I was the one inviting new people.
Dad is a retired rancher and doesn't trust anything that sounds fancy. He trusts Walt, he trusts the brisket, and that turned out to be enough.
When I had my knee replaced, Dana checked on me every day and the kitchen brought dinner to my door for three weeks. Nobody made me feel like a burden.
Kendra came to our house in San Angelo twice to measure furniture. She was right about the dining table. She was also right about the piano.
I live in Chicago and worried about Mother being so far away. The staff send me photos from the day trips. Last month she climbed partway up Enchanted Rock at eighty-one.
No buy-in was the deciding factor for us. We didn't want to hand over our savings to move somewhere we hadn't lived yet.
I'm a widower and a lousy cook. Here I eat supper with the same five people every night and I've put on six pounds. My doctor is thrilled.
