Our team

Executive Director
Tamika grew up in Coweta, ran hotel front desks in Tulsa for fifteen years and has led Sunnyside since 2017. She calls bingo on Thursdays and refuses to rig it for anyone, including her mother.

Executive Chef
Darnell cooked at a downtown Tulsa steakhouse before he came to Sunnyside for the regular hours. His Friday catfish and his sweet potato pie have their own fan club.

Wellness Nurse
Grace spent twelve years in a Tulsa clinic. She runs the weekday wellness office, the flu-shot clinic and the walking club, and she remembers everyone's blood-pressure numbers.

Life Enrichment Director
Becca builds the calendar, books the bands and talks residents into things they end up loving, like the chair volleyball league and the Christmas parade float.

Community Relations Director
Ray retired from a career in insurance and then un-retired to give tours here. He knows every floor plan by heart and will tell you honestly which one has the best afternoon light.

Resident Services Coordinator
Lena handles move-ins, lease questions and anything that doesn't fit in someone else's job description. She keeps a drawer full of reading glasses for visitors who forgot theirs.

Facilities and Grounds Director
Marcus looks after a hundred and twenty homes, a pool, two pickleball courts and a woodshop. He also coaches the resident putting league, badly, by his own admission.

Move-in Coordinator
Carla has helped more than two hundred families downsize. She brings a tape measure, a box of tissues and a very good list of local movers and donation centers.
Sample family reviews
Mom moved here grumbling that she was 'not a joiner.' She is now treasurer of the bingo league and has a laminated rulebook.
I used to drive across town for pickleball. Now I walk out the back door, play two games and I'm home before the coffee's cold.
Dad stopped going to the café for two days and the front desk called me before I even knew he had a cold. That phone call sold me.
We sold a four-bedroom house in Jenks and a riding mower. We do not miss the house. We definitely do not miss the mower.
The pottery studio is the best-kept secret in Broken Arrow. I've made sixty-three bowls. My kids have asked me to stop.
Carla came to the house three times before the move. By the time we got here, Mom's pictures were on the walls and her bed was made.
After my husband passed I didn't leave the house for a month. Here, somebody knocks on my door every morning to walk to coffee. I'm grateful every day.
No buy-in meant we could try it for a year. That was four years ago.
My grandkids think Grandpa lives at a resort. Honestly, with the pool and the ice cream social, they're not far off.
