Boutique assisted living · Colleyville, Texas

Thirty-two suites. One standard.

A small house on two wooded acres between DFW and Fort Worth, with a chef's dining room, a nurse on site and caregivers who know whether you take your coffee with cream before you ask.

The house

Small by design.

We could have built a hundred apartments on this land. We built thirty-two suites and a dining room with eleven tables, because the families who first asked us for this house wanted one thing above all: a place where every caregiver knows every resident.

What follows from that is quiet and particular. Breakfast is served when you wake. The same two caregivers help you each morning. The nurse notices a change before you do. And when your daughter calls from London, someone answers who saw you at lunch.

Our story

How the house came to be

In 2014 Catherine Wren's mother needed help at home. Catherine toured eleven communities and found good care in large buildings, and fine buildings with thin care. She wanted both in a house small enough to know everyone.

Sample family reviews

In their words

My mother ran a household of seven for forty years. Wexford House is the first place that runs one the way she would.
Margaret H.Daughter of a resident
Julian learned my father's Sunday omelet in one try. Dad has stopped telling people he's 'in a home.' He says he lives at Wexford.
Thomas R.Son of a resident
With thirty-two residents, the nurse noticed Mom was quieter at breakfast and caught a urinary infection before it became a hospital stay.
Diane K.Daughter of a resident
We live in London. The weekly note from Leah, with photographs, is the next best thing to being there.
Fiona and Mark S.Family of a resident
I still go to the symphony. The driver walks me to my seat and is waiting at the curb afterward.
Evelyn B.Resident since 2020
The suite looked like my parents' living room on the first day. Martin had hung every picture where it was at home.
Richard P.Son of residents
Afternoon tea in the library is the best hour of my week, and I visit four days out of seven.
Anne L.Daughter of a resident
We toured six communities. This was the only one where every caregiver we passed greeted a resident by name.
Charles W.Husband of a resident
After my hip surgery I stayed three weeks in the recovery suite. I came back a year later to stay.
