Good to know

Questions, answered

Is Cobblestone Ridge independent living or assisted living?

Both, on one campus. Most residents start in a cottage or apartment and stay independent for years. If more help is needed later, assisted living is in the Juniper wing down the hall, with the same dining room and the same friends.

Is there an entrance fee?

No. We rent month to month after a twelve-month lease, and there is a one-time community fee at move-in. Hannah will show you every number in writing.

How is assisted living priced?

By level of care. Our health services director does an assessment before move-in, and the monthly cost depends on how much daily help is needed. We review it with you every quarter and whenever needs change.

Does Medicare pay for assisted living?

No. Medicare does not cover room, board or personal care in assisted living. It still covers doctor visits, therapy and prescriptions as it would anywhere. Long-term care insurance, VA benefits and Oklahoma's Medicaid waiver program can help some families; our business office can walk you through each.

Can veterans get help paying?

Many can. Wartime veterans and surviving spouses who need help with daily activities may qualify for the VA Aid and Attendance pension. We help families gather the paperwork.

Can I bring my own furniture?

Please do. Every residence is unfurnished except the respite suite, and Hannah will sketch your floor plan with your pieces before moving day.

Are pets allowed?

One dog or cat per residence, with a fenced dog run behind the cottages and a staff member who loves a good dog more than most people.

What if I need a nurse at night?

A licensed nurse is on site seven days a week, and care staff are awake all night in assisted living. Every residence has emergency call buttons answered by our own team.

Do you offer short stays?

Yes. Our furnished respite suite is available for stays from a week to a few months, with meals and assisted living care included in a daily rate.

Can family stay for a meal?

Any time. Guest meals are a few dollars at lunch and supper, and Sunday brunch is on us when you book by Friday.

How far is the nearest hospital?

About fifteen minutes by car to the hospitals in central Lawton. Ambulance response to our address is usually under ten minutes.

Tours run six days a week and lunch is on us. Call, text or book online, and Annette or Hannah will meet you at the Commons.
