Little Rock is the seat of Pulaski County and the state capital. The city had about 206,400 residents in 2025 by Census Bureau estimates, and Pulaski County had about 404,600. The 2020 to 2024 American Community Survey puts 15.6% of Little Rock residents at 65 or older. County figures from the 2025 estimates run higher: 18.7% in Pulaski County and 19.8% in Saline County, home to Benton and Bryant. Faulkner County, around Conway, was 15.4%.
The big referral sources are a handful of hospital systems. UAMS Health, the clinical side of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, is home to the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging. Baptist Health has medical centers in Little Rock and North Little Rock, an Extended Care hospital in Little Rock and Rehabilitation Institutes in Little Rock, North Little Rock and Conway. CHI St. Vincent operates the Infirmary in Little Rock and CHI St. Vincent North in Sherwood. Veterans use the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System and its John L. McClellan hospital. Case managers at these hospitals want to know quickly what you accept and when you can admit, so put insurance, Medicare and Medicaid status, and admissions phone hours where they can find them in one click.
Families rarely search for Little Rock alone. They search for the town they live in or where Mom lives: North Little Rock, Sherwood, Jacksonville, Maumelle, Cabot, Benton, Bryant or Conway. A location page for each town you really serve, with drive times from that town, will do more than one page that says central Arkansas.
Central Arkansas also has a PACE program. DHS lists Complete Health with PACE in North Little Rock for people 55 and older who need nursing facility level care. If you are a nursing home or assisted living near its service area, it is worth explaining on your site how you differ from PACE, because families will be comparing.
Home health and hospice agencies in Pulaski County should be careful with service-area wording. Arkansas ties each home health license to the area in its Permit of Approval, up to 100 miles from the parent or branch office. List the counties you are licensed to serve rather than promising all of central Arkansas.

Questions
Which hospitals refer the most post-acute patients in Little Rock?
No public source ranks referral volume, but the main acute systems are UAMS Health, Baptist Health, CHI St. Vincent and the Central Arkansas VA. Ask your own admissions team which case managers call you most and build your referral page around them.
Should a Little Rock provider build pages for nearby towns?
Yes, if you actually serve them. Families search by their own town, such as Sherwood, Bryant or Conway. Each page should say what is true for that town, like drive time and which hospital is closest.
